Designed to conserve natural resources, the Lavale campus incorporates a rain water harvesting project to conserve water and re-use it effectively for various purposes. Envisioned as a green zone, students are encouraged to walk, and bicycles have been provided for transport. The location can be reached via a call cab or local auto from Pune train station or the airport. Lavale is approximately 17 km from Pune University and 25 km from Pune train station. Lavale is in the Mulshi district and city buses are available till the Pashan area. Lavale campus can also be reached from Symbiosis's main campus on Senapati Bapat Road via buses that operate at certain times each day. The campus boasts three eateries, hostels, a gymnasium, a state of the art auditorium, a helipad, the Symbiosis Centre for Research & Innovation (SCRI), the Symbiosis Teaching Learning Resource Centre (STLRC) and other facilities for the benefit of students. The Symbiosis International (Deemed University) Offices are also located here.
