Director's Message

Dr. Anita Patankar is a distinguished academic and administrator with a proven track record of leadership in higher education. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Symbiosis International University, Dubai and also holds the positions of the Director of the Symbiosis Centre for International Education.

A pioneer in the field of liberal arts education in India, Prof. Patankar is Founding Director of the Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts, India's first 4-year liberal arts college. She continues to serve as an Advisor to the school, guiding its growth and development. With over 39 years of experience in Indian higher education, Prof. Patankar has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of liberal arts education in the country.

Dr. Anita Patankar is passionate about internationalisation of higher education. She has been actively involved in developing innovative learning processes, fostering a culture of inclusivity, and promoting internationalization@home. Prof. Patankar is committed to creating 'fair, just and inclusive' learning ecosystems that empower students to become engaged citizens and global leaders.

Beyond her academic and administrative roles, Prof. Patankar is actively involved in various initiatives. She serves on the board of trustees of ECONET, an NGO dedicated to the welfare of tribal and disadvantaged populations. She is also a member of the Indian Members Council of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, the CII Africa Committee, and the Alliance of Asian Liberal Arts Universities. Additionally, she is a founding member of Samvedana, Symbiosis International University's gender advisory committee.

Director's Message

Dr. Dhanya Pramod is a postgraduate in Computer Science from Pondicherry Central University and completed her doctoral degree from Symbiosis International University. She has a strong academic foundation and was the First Rank holder of the University at the undergraduate level and a Gold medallist at the postgraduate level.

Dr. Dhanya also holds a master’s degree in Management. She pursued multiple job portfolios with a blend of experience, including industry, research, academics, and administration. The experience with Wipro Technologies R&D division gave her good exposure to research in the areas of network protocols and security. Her interest in networks, application security, and aspect-oriented programming further led to her research and award of the doctoral degree for her thesis in web application security. She has published papers in several referred/indexed journals including SCOPUS and conferences of international repute.

She is also an editorial board member and reviewer of reputed journals. She is an alumnus of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), the flagship exchange program of the United States Department of State. Her passion for teaching made her venture into academics. Her expertise includes Information Security Management and Data science.

She has co-authored and published case studies in IT and Management in Case Centre (ECCH) and PMI. She has also received research grants from Pune University, Symbiosis International University, and PMI. She was a member of PMI, and her current professional association includes ISACA (Academic Advocate-Student Chapter) and IACSIT Singapore (senior member).

Prof. Dr. Jatinderkumar R. Saini is a distinguished and established academician, researcher and administrator. He is recipient of prestigious DAAD Fellowship (Germany), completed PhD in Computer Science in 2009, preceded by MCA with University 1st rank and Gold Medals in all three years, which itself was preceded by BSc (Computer Science) with Silver Medal in the final year.

He has 140+ Scopus/WoS indexed papers with 1870+ citations in 50+ countries, h-index 23 and i10 index 65. He has presented 50+ papers in conferences with several best paper awards.

He has reviewed 1300+ research papers (nearly 200 for ACM/IEEE Transactions journals alone), and handled nearly 100 papers as an Editor. He has chaired sessions for numerous conferences in different countries. Recipient of several outstanding reviewer certificates, he has been named among top 1% (and also in top 50) Computer Science reviewers in the world by Thomson Reuters continuously for two years. He has supervised 12 candidates for PhD and 8 more are currently pursuing it under his guidance. He has visited various universities in Asia and Europe. He has completed 50+ international certifications through 25+ foreign universities. He is Fellow/Member/Executive Committee Member of several professional bodies.
