Symbiosis School of Online and Digital Learning (SSODL)
The Symbiosis School for Online and Digital Learning (SSODL) is a constituent of the prestigious Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) and is the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) of SIU.
The Centre offers niche UG & PG degree programmes under the Faculty of Management, Computer Studies, Media and Communication, Humanities and Healthcare that are UGC entitled and AICTE approved. There programmes are specially curated for working professionals who are aspiring to upgrade their skills while working.
The programmes are delivered in a self-paced learner centric environment delivered in an online and digital mode imparting the same skills, knowledge and domain expertise offered through conventional programmes. The learnings are delivered through a dynamic Learning Management System under a Learner Centric MOOC model with an outcome-based approach to learning. SSDOL is home to many international students in addition to students from across the country.
Director's Message
Dr. Parimala Veluvali is the Director and Associate Professor with Symbiosis School for Online and Digital Learning (SSODL). She has over fifteen years of full-time teaching experience. She joined the Symbiosis in the year 2009.
She is a Fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). After a brief period of corporate practice, she ventured into teaching and training and found her calling in academics. Her teaching and research interests are in the areas of Corporate Laws, Investor protection and quality aspects in Higher education.
She has authored research papers in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals and authored a book published by Springer Nature, US. She regularly conducts corporate training sessions in various multinational companies. She is also a trained faculty for Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for the subject of Business and Corporate law. She has been actively working in the area of Teaching, Learning and Evaluation as a part of Quality Assessment and Accreditation exercise at SIU.
