SSBF was established to address the growing demand for trained workforce in the Banking and Financial Services Sector. The programme develops future BFSI leaders with requisite skills through robust curriculum and collaborative initiatives to excel in the dynamic global environment.
The courses like FOREX and Treasury Management, International Finance, Strategic Management help in inculcating the global requirements. Additionally, courses on Digital Marketing, Technology in Financial Markets etc are aligned to address National/Regional requirement of Technology Development. National / Local requirement of Skill development is attained through courses like Mathematical Prerequisites, Advanced Excel, Business Statistics etc.
The students are introduced to various technological tools and platforms like Bloomberg, R programming, SQL, Advance Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, Python etc. and prestigious global certification like Certified Credit Research Analyst (CCRA) which help them familiarize themselves with technological advancements. SSBF organizes Annual Banking and Finance Conclave on the contemporary topics and also invites industry experts regularly to deliver guest lectures on varied topics such as Data Analytics, Growth and prospects in banking industry, Cryptocurrency, Financial Journalism, Budget Analysis etc. which helps students to keep themselves updated.
Based on the stakeholders feedback the program structure is updated every year which is duly approved by SIU. The curriculum is developed by benchmarking it against national and International Universities / Institutes offering similar courses which has made the program comprehensive and well-defined catering to both National and International needs of the BFSI domain. Also introduced Financial Technology (Fintech) as a new specialization in the MBA program. The courses like Blockchain and Its Applications, Fintech Framework and Governance, Cyber Security, Data Privacy and Forensics for Banks, Application of Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence in Finance help in inculcating the global requirements.Active learnings, collaborative learning and experiential learning is emphasized at SSBF thus the teaching methods include Role plays, Case Studies, Field Work, Scenario Analysis.

Director's Message
Dr. Neha Parashar completed her doctorate degree in the area of behavioural finance (2008) and is a gold medallist (University topper) during her MBA and M.Com. She has 20 years of rich teaching experience across several universities and colleges in India. She has also participated in 5 months long Faculty Development Programme organized at IIM, Ahmedabad.
Her research interests lie in the area of financial markets, financial services, behavioural finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, wealth management, and financial planning. She has presented papers in several international and national conferences. Her research papers have been published in various peer-reviewed journals across.
She has been awarded India’s Best Finance Teacher by the Association of International Wealth Management of India (AIWMI), Best Young Teacher Award in Management Category by Academisthan Foundation, Awarded with Most Influential Women in Academics 2020 by Education Ninja and Academy of Management Professionals (AMP), Awarded with Indira Parikh 50 Women in Education Leaders by World Education Congress and Awarded with 100 Most Dedicated Professor by World Education Congress. She has authored a book named “Mutual Fund and Investors" published by Classical Publishing House, New Delhi.
