||SNAP Test for Symbiosis Postgraduate Programmes
Admission to various Postgraduate Degree Programmes is through the following steps:
The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is conducted by the Symbiosis Test Secretariat (STS). The SNAP is a written test for admission to the PostGraduate Programmes offered by the constituent institutes of the University. The SNAP test is held at several cities across India on the third Sunday of December every year
for admissions to postgraduate programmes offered in the subsequent academic session.
Subsequent to the SNAP, a candidate is required to undergo additional selection processes of the desired institute to qualify for admission to that particular institute.
Responding to the demands from the student community, SIU is offering additional tests for following non-MBA programmes:
Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication – MMC Course - (Pune campus only)
Symbiosis Institute of Geoinformatics – M. Sc (Geoinformatics)
These tests would enable students to obtain admission for the MMC course (SIMC (Pune)) and for the M. Sc (Geoinformatics) course (SIG).
However, students appearing for the SNAP test are also eligible for the aforementioned courses.
Candidates aspiring for admission to MSc (Biomedical), MSc (Economics), MSc (Medical Technology) or MTech programmes must heed the following:
There will be a discipline-specific test during the PI-WAT process for candidates who have been successful at the SNAP/GATE.
Candidates who have not taken the SNAP test will have to undergo an aptitude and discipline-specific test before the PI-WAT process.
Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is only the first step. There may be additional independent process conducted at an institute under each faculty to meet the specific requirements of each programme. Candidates should check the website of concerned institute for more details.
